Cool tool, but I want to know the user agent so I can block it - no sense giving my competitors my data if the tool ends up working well.
I totally agree, the conferences are getting too expensive. I remember when PubCon was $450.
Is the information that we get from the conferences better than what we get online and in podcast format - not really.
It is getting harder to justify the ROI on just the networking as the prices increase.
Thanks for your all your comments.
I guess I was a little surprised to see that the SMX Advanced conference didn't have Oatmeal (Matt Inman) speaking on the "Blow Your Mind Link Building Techniques". I really thought that Matt's Widgets Gone Wild post was the definition of Blow your Mind link building, so I thought it would be fun to put together another spoof video.
I have been doing some training videos for another one of my sites, and I wanted to try out a new editing technique that I used in this video. I really had fun with it but I can see how people took exception to my odd sense of humor.
I think Donna's idea of using Pat Clutz was brilliant.
SES is going to be replaced by SMX faster than I thought if they do all those sponsered sessions.
It does get up setting. And worse it is a big time drain on a small company like mine trying to fight with these people.
I would rather be writing more content then dealing with people that are too lazy to do it themselves.
I spoke with others about the site ClarkCountyRentals.com and come to find out the 3 others sites have been ripped off from them and have filed complaints with Google. So why is Google not at least shutting down their adsense account?
Update to the story:
After they took down the content I email and thanked them for the quick response and then asked them why.
Their reply was I stole one of their clients. Hmm, that was not the answer I expected. For those that are interested, Rand and DaveN talk about my videos on Rand's site in their own video.
I find it interesting that more discussion is going on here than on the actual post.
Sorry Matt, when I was doing the cut-outs of each person I think I might have cut your arms off. :)
