If only there were a mac compatible version. /sigh
Danny, if you're typing 'l' and Google Chrome suggests live.com, you can hit the Tab key and it will let you search directly on live.com without hitting Google at all.
"We are so, so happy with Google Chrome," mumbled Mozilla CEO John Lilly through gritted teeth. "That most of our income is from Google has no bearing on me making this statement." - http://notnews.today.com/?p=57
Danny .. nice rundown. Google and Yahoo both have tracking opt out. IE 8 loads toolbar components by default (at least 9). Think there's a place for all of them but really like to way Google approached this
It should recognize not only the keyword but also the name and domain name of a search engine. For example I have added a search engine "The Pirate Bay", keyword "tpb". Now whenever I type in "thepiratebay" or "the pirate bay" it doesn't show "Search The Pirate Bay for" as an option.
Matt has some information about what information the browser sends to Google, and also what information the browser recieves from the search engine:

(thanks to John Battelle / SearchBlog: http://battellemedia.com/archives/004595.php ;)
ah, I see you have a hidden link to it yourself at the end -- didn't get that far before I thought you were not aware of it (it's *all* good ;)...
... but it is more then "nothing" -- my reply to Matt's post:
The way I understand what you're saying is that when we use the browser, Google no longer cares so much about which links we click on. Instead, Google wants to know which terms we type into the URL bar (the "Wisdom of the Language" -- see http://gaggle.info/miscellaneous/articles/wisdom-of-the-language :). Also, Google wants to know which language we think we're speaking.
BTW: how is knowing a URL hash different from knowing the URL itself?

I was generally quite impressed when I downloaded it last night. It's fast, I like the recently closed tab ( stops that bungled tab closing ) and the opera like speed dial. It won't be replacing firefox for untill all my favourite SEO tools are available for it.
Till then it will only be replacing Opera...
The best thing about Chrome is this explanation from the incognito screen:
Why can't I add Cuil as default search engine?

I wish there was a Linux version, Still didn't get to play with it...
